How To Install MyBB Forum Plugins?

Geek4Tech is just recently launched and the team is so happy the way its going, to give more to our visitors and readers we have also provided Forum facility. you can visit that and get your self registered. its still in starting phase but soon it will catch up. while installing this forum i found many problem and learn many thing also and this article is based on that experience. to be frank i was with Zero knowledge of Web hosting and all but learned a lot. so now to the main point and this is for those who are newbies in the field of forums and all. after installing the forum (MyBB ) you will need to add some Plugins to add extra look to your forum. you can found many by just Google it or go to this site and search it. its normally known as mods.

Now the major questions comes after downloading it how to install in your forum.

• once you have downloaded the file just open it and you will find either few folder or just one file with .php extension. if it has only one file than installed or insert in to your forums >> inc >> Plugins folder and your are done.

• If there are more files like Images ,Inc, Jscript and all than you have to insert or copy that file to that particular folder. for example in inc folder there can plugin file which you can move to forums >> inc >> Plugins and like this move image file to image folder and jscript file to jscript folder.

• these all are common but if you found some new folder in your downloaded file than just copy it to the root directory of folder that where the main files and folders are there.

That’s it you are done with installing plugins to your MyBB forum.
